I have not had a cigarette in 7 days. My intentions are to finally quit for good. I have been eating everything that has not run from me for the last week and can feel my size 7 frame starting to explode.
I can only assume that since I am no longer spending my time smoking that now I am trying to fill that time with eating. Anyone else out there experience this and if so how did you manage these cravings?

What I mean is say you smoke 2 packs a day. Instead of stopping just like that, you smoke say a pack or half a pack a day for 3 weeks (or something like that)..and keep on lessening the number of sticks.
And what medications are effective for after-smoking?

I need to lose 2 stone (28lb) by June. I have started a healthy diet and exercise, everything is going well except i want to stop smoking too but im worried i wont lose the weight quick enough or worse stay where i am. I only smoke allot when i drink so i have stopped drinking but i have a couple of cigs on a night to stop me going in the fridge. Any advice please?
I smoke 1-3 cigarettes a day. I’m deciding to stop because I heard that if you smoke it can make it hard for you to lose weight even if you exercise 5 days a week. Is this true?
I’ve been smoking for the past 5-6 years, I hate it and it’s disgusting. I want to quit. I’ve heard that if you quit smoking you gain a ton of weight, is this true or just one of those myths? If you do gain weight than why? From eating more to fight the cravings or is it some chemical in your body? I’ve heard both of those.
If it is true… is it a good idea to give up when you are ill with a cold? or will you get worse?
