Tips On How To Focus On And Increase Creative Thinking

Post date: April 30, 2010

If you think that people you consider to be creative are born with it, think again. Creative thinking often just does not happen by the stroke of luck. If you are looking for ways to increase your creative output there are several very practical steps you can take in order to do so.[I:http://methodstoquitsmoking.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/ChrisArribbat1.jpg]

If you find yourself thinking of too many things at the same time, release your mind of all of the thoughts going on inside. You can do so by writing down the many issues that are jumbled in your mind and causing ‘static’. Writing down the excess thoughts in your brain can actually give your mind the space it needs to think creatively. You can do this by jotting down in a few sentences, daily, what your errands, frustrations and other miscellaneous thoughts may be.

Do you usually get a creative thought at the most inconvenient time? Maybe it is while grocery shopping, or on your way to work. Keep these thoughts alive and do not forget them by writing them down, even if you write in a brief sentence structure. You can expand later. The important thing is not to forget. You can keep a lightweight notepad with you in your purse or car glove compartment for easy access for these types of occasions.

What works as your inspiration? What is it that you do, or listen too, that gets the creative juices flowing in your mind? This is music for some; it may be reading for others. Figure out what works best for you and utilize it when you need to be creative. Typically, a practice which inspires you will also help you relax as well.

Maybe you are trying to solve a problem in a creative way. If you are problem solving and feel stumped, literally write down the problem. Taking a visual look at the issue at hand may be an effective method in helping you solve it. When you have a problem that is clearly defined, reaching the solution may be a bit less frustrating.

Are you still at a road block even after writing your problem down? This may call for a change of scenery. If you are sitting at your desk, stand up and go for a short walk. If you have been isolated at your computer screen for a few hours, human interaction may be helpful. When you give your mind a break, when it is time to focus again you will find that it is more willing to cooperate.

Whenever possible, read. Reading can fill your mind with interesting and creative thoughts. Reading will expose you to ideas that you would have normally lived without. New information can help you make connections within your problems when searching for solutions.

The next time you work out your body, remember that your brain needs to be kept in shape as well. How do you exercise a brain you ask? Well, interact with others and have a conversation. It can be as easy as that! Discuss and even debate issues that are important to you with friends, family or colleagues. Just make sure that you are having a productive debate and you avoid bickering, which can be considered as fat for the brain.

Give your mind some play time. This may be the very best strategy to induce creative thinking. Giving your mind the space to breath, so to speak, which may very well give you some very creative results. Regardless of what you are trying to produce, don’t be so hard on yourself. Reduce the stress on yourself and your mind and you may very well see some positive results.

Electronic Cigarettes Gaining Acceptance Everywhere

Post date: March 12, 2010

Politicians and certain special interest groups, still making weak claims concerning electronic cigarettes and esmokes. They are misleading and downplaying the benefits of electric cigarette, but a hospital in Tampa, Florida decided last week to permit the usage of electronic cigarettes within the hospital.

I, about a week or two back, had an experience at a hospital in Fredricksberg, Texas. I was observed and reported by a hospital employee for esmoking/vaping in the corridor (I was testing). The out come, not a surprise to me, was that no one had an objection to my smoking/vaping my GreenSmoke electronic cigarette in the hospital anywhere.

Although, cigarette smoking is prohibited in most public places I have not experienced any problems with smoking/vaping my Electronic Cigarettes, eSmokes, E cigarette where ever I have chosen to do so. The really great thing about e Smokes, Electronic Cigarettes or eSmokes, is an esmoker can get their nicotine fix about anywhere a coffee or soda drinker can get their caffeine fix.

eSmokes or Electronic Cigarettes, as they are frequently referred to as, also benefited employers who allow smoking only in designated areas. The employers benefit from increased productivity. Since their employees don’t have to waste time going to an area where smoking is allowed. Electronic Cigarette esmokers don’t carry around that burnt tobacco smell…you know, that odor that’s stronger than 10 acres of fresh plowed garlic! As if that wasn’t enough, there is no second hand tobacco smoke to jeopardize anyone else s health. Altogether, it is a win win situation, the company’s bottom line improves and nobody gets exposed to unhealthy second hand smoke..indeed a plus in hard economic times.

Last July, the FDA issued a warning regarding the electric cigarette and it appears the public and medical industry just aren’t buying the story. What they have accomplished with that is, at a time when the public distrusts the government more than at any other time in history, is diminished credibility.

On the heels of that announcement, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) in the United Kingdom released a favorable position on E-cigarettes stating; “E-cigarettes, which deliver nicotine without the harmful toxins found in tobacco smoke, are likely to be a safer alternative to smoking. In addition, electronic cigarettes reduce secondhand smoke exposure since they do not produce smoke.”

Still, the FDA continues to pursue the removal from the market of what is gaining more support as a safer product for consumers. At the same time, they ignore a product that is a known health risk that is currently available on the market. Maybe, loss of tax revenue as well as other unknown money streams would be at risk…you think?.

How To Repair The Lungs After Quitting Smoking Using A Lung Detox

Post date: February 15, 2010

Something that really helped me when quitting smoking was to begin the repairing process to my lungs early on. Just knowing that I was doing something positive to my body was a great source of comfort and focus and I believe was a major factor in me stopping smoking for good!

So as well as quitting smoking I thought I’d try an inexpensive home lung detox. It is designed to accelerate the removal of tar and toxins that have gathered through smoking and so increase the speed of the repair to the lung tissue. It just made sense to me that repairing the lungs quickly was essential to stopping for good.

The lung detox was surprisingly easy to do but the effects were quite staggering so if you are thinking of doing it then prepare yourself for a shock. I expected to have some evidence that my body was getting rid all the gunge in my lungs but didn’t expect it to happen so quickly and, I hasten to add in such volume. It was a real eye opener to see just how much tar I had in my lungs after 12 years of smoking. It’s also a side effect to feel mildly sick but that passes after a day or two. What I wasn’t aware of that it can take anything up to 15 years for the body to break down the tar and toxins naturally. I don’t know about you but that is way too long for me to wait!

One thing that I told myself at this point was that I was never going back to my old smoking habit and that was a real bonus. In fact, to be honest the thought of smoking a cigarette now actually makes me feel quite sick, and on the odd occasion where I smell smoke from a smoker I really don’t like it. Understand though, I’m not anti smoking. I do believe that everyone should have the choice but it’s certainly no longer something that I would ever consider taking up again.

So what happens when the lungs are repairing? The main damage from smoking is done to the alveoli and the cilia. The alveoli are tiny sacks which transfer oxygen into the bloodstream. The alveoli damage caused by smoking is quite severe and some believe that it is never fully repaired even after many years, but don’t allow this to put you off quitting. On the other hand there is much better news about cilia. These are microscopic hairlike structures which actually sweep out particles and toxins from the lungs. Smoking paralyzes the cilia and so allows particles to build up. Once you have stopped smoking and the repairing of the lungs begins to happen the cilia start to function again and so strangely enough you may develop a cough. This is a good sign. The lung detox actually brought this stage on very quickly, two or three days to be exact and then fast tracked the cleaning of the lungs to speed up the repairing process. Within 3 or 4 weeks you start to feel a whole lot better.

Lung Detox Helped Me To Stop Smoking By Removing Tar And Toxins

Post date: February 11, 2010

Cleaning out tar and toxins that have collected in the lungs whilst being a smoker is a major factor in staying quit. It’s important to break the invisible connection between the smoker and the cigarette and just makes the whole process of quitting much easier to handle.

The continuous mental and physical battle I fought only eased when I discovered the lung detox. Finally my cravings subsided and then eventually disappeared. I had already spent time and money on the usual methods such as gum and patches but they just didn’t hit the spot.

I realise that some people are able to quit easily using these methods along with a little will power but oh no! Not me. I never do things the easy way:)

I really wanted to quit badly as I have a young family. My wife is an ex-smoker because she stopped immediately when she new she was pregnant and although she intended to start smoking again she just never did. She doesn’t give me a hard time about smoking but she has made it clear that she’d like me to stop. And not only that I really want to stop for my kids sake.

Who’s to say what I’ll mis out on in the future if I didn’t quit. I’d like to think that I’ll be around not just for my wife and daughter but for my grandchildren too.

So why do I think the lung detox finally worked? Well what made sense to me was that if the chemicals that had kept me addicted to smoking were broken down and expelled from my body then surely I’d be well on my way to kicking the nasty habit once and for all.

I was totally taken aback however at my reaction to the detox. I honestly had a feeling of what can only be described as elation! The tightness in my chest quickly went along with a terrible cough that I had developed. My sore throat lasted less than a couple of weeks. I was thrilled with the results.

I was told to expect a few minor side effects but nothing that I couldn’t cope with. Yes I did feel a little sick for a few days, I had one quite restless nights sleep and a slight headache but hey, this is your body reacting to clearing out some powerful addictive chemicals, so you’d expect some reaction wouldn’t you?

Would I recommend a lung detox. Without question I think I’d still be a smoker now without it.

Smoking Cessation Therapist Stephen Richards Looks At If Quitting Smoking Suddenly Can Kill You?”

Post date: November 19, 2009

Physiological reactions to quitting smoking can lead to ‘Quitter’s Flu’, irritability, crankiness, headaches, irritable coughing, lack of concentration, sore joints and weight gain. The medical profession, though, choose to overlook the array of these health risks as they are not considered to be life threatening enough in nature compared to the addiction to smoking.

Looking at how the increase in the take up of smoking occurred during the 20th century and how, in relation to this, life expectancy has increased might make you believe smoking is safe. Then if you compare the Western World to the Third World, where the incidence of smoking is far less, and look at the correlation of the how their mortality rate has increased then you could feel that this is more evidence that smoking can’t be that bad for you.

Doctors at the K.S. Hegde Medical Academy in Mangalore, India were struck by the more than casual relationship between the appearance of lung cancer and an abrupt and recent cessation of the smoking habit in many, if not most, cases. Backing this up is how anti-smoking guru and former smoker Allen Carr who helped many smokers kick the habit died from lung cancer.

Self-help therapist Stephen Richards clarifies why giving up smoking without first taking some precautionary steps can be chancy, “Tolerance levels to high dosages of nicotine and the related unhealthy by-products from smoking can build up a high degree of immunity within a smoker. Of course this comes about over a long period of time, so it makes sense that to stop suddenly can bring about certain physiological reactions that want to heal the body from what clogged its respiratory system up. This is when problems can occur. Stopping smoking in an uncontrolled manner can bring about certain reactions within the body, activating an uncontrolled cell division and tumour genesis. This is why it is wise to lock out the potential of such an incidence from happening.”

Quitting smoking in the safest, most natural and inexpensive way is something many overlook when it comes to trying to regain their health. Many products offer a shortcut to quitting, but before you go down that path please read this article, as it could save you a lot of money, time and health risks.

The traditional route of using hypnotic downloads to help you stop smoking can at times merely put a veneer over the addiction. In order for hypnosis to work fully you would need to already have a strong will to want it to work in order to see a positive outcome. You would also need more than a single audio download to benefit from such a treatment.

Dependency on nicotine is a psychological thing, 90 percent to be exact. However, the physiological dependency on this addiction accounts for only 10 percent! Because it is all going on in the mind then this is the area that needs to be tackled before you consider using products that change your physiological balance. Research showed that downgrading to a lower tar brand of cigarette worked nowhere as near to helping the subject give up smoking compared to other smokers not using this method. All what happened to the test group was it took longer for them to quit smoking, as the belief they had was that smoking was now safer. In reality what had happened was that it had weakened their resolve to quit smoking.

Subliminal audios that target the subconscious mind can be quite potent, but they have a drawback! The actual subliminal message is self-defeating because in order for it to work you have to hear all what is being spoken, and invariably some of what you are supposed to hear is lost in the background music or sounds on the audio you are listening to. This really defeats the purpose of subliminal messaging. Where subliminals really work is in imagery, but that is no use for smoking cessation therapy.

There is a substitute for cigarettes … the imitation cigarette! Why when you want to give up smoking do you want to replace it with something that looks exactly like a cigarette, bellows smoke like a real cigarette, has an ember that lights up at the end and actually feeds you the very nicotine you want to break free from? The subconscious mind does not stand a chance of vanquishing your addiction to nicotine.

The electronic cigarette looks and feels similar to a real cigarette, it even plumes out artificial smoke. The very manner of how this works continues to keep your hand to mouth action in your memory. Even without any of the carcinogens found in tobacco smoke, with the electronic cigarette you are simply replacing one addiction with another!

Nicotine gum, patches and other nicotine replacement products designed to wean smokers off cigarettes can be costly. You also have to remember to stick the patch on, or what if you run out of gum at an inopportune moment? What if there was an alternative product that only took up 30 minutes of your time and only had to be used from time to time? Former clinical hypnotherapist Stephen Richards has turned his back on the use of hypnosis for smoking cessation in favour of this up to date method, which does away with any sort of hypnosis.

Targeting the exact areas of the brain with this pioneering technology takes no more than 30 minutes, hitting the very seat of the problem. The elated feeling of being freed from the vice of nicotine addiction can be experienced for the first time, in some cases, for many years. No longer are you a slave to nicotine, think of all the money you will save too.

Smoking cessation expert Stephen Richards says, “My aim was to make this as inexpensive a product as could be, and painless too. The symptoms of tobacco withdrawal had to be smoothed out, and I have succeeded in doing so. This system is loaded to the hilt with up to date methods so that you can gain control of your life again. Smoking cessation fixes have become stale and prolonged, whereas this method is swift, flexible and excitingly new.”

This method designed by top self-help therapist Stephen Richards will help the smoker unleash the power of the unconscious mind within them which in turn will help eliminate their cravings for cigarettes and the urge to smoke. Now with this technology you can curb the cravings for nicotine as they come, one by one. Everything you need to quit smoking once and for all is within you right now.

“The Ultimate Stop Smoking CD” coaches your brain to overcome nicotine dependence in a rapid way, and zones right in to the nucleus of the smoking habit. Using state of the art know-how, there is no use of self-hypnosis, hypnosis or subliminal messaging. Integral in the CD is a system that prevents uncontrolled cell division and tumour genesis by starting the physiological healing process in a safe and natural way. It starts acting as soon as you are on the main track of the audio, and you can clearly pick up on all of what is being said.
