I just quit smoking yesterday cold turkey after smoking for 19 years. I was a very light smoker and I didn’t think it was going to be that bad. I smoked less than 1/2 a pack a day so not even 10 cigarettes a day. I feel really bad, this is my 2nd day without a cigarette and I’m doing ok but I am having horrible symptoms. I have a horrible headache, my whole body aches, my throat hurts, I kept waking up all night last night and I am very irritable and just aching all over. I feel a lot of pressure in my head. I am definitely not going back to smoking if my body is so dependent on it like it was. It is a great feeling to be quit but when are these symptoms going to go away? I took some Ibuprofen for the headache but it doesn’t help. And I feel so tired. Anyway, if anyone could help, that would be great.
I quit smoking, cold turkey, 2 weeks ago. I had smoked for 15 years. Since then I have had ear aches, one side at a time, and a sore throat. Is this from quitting smoking? Or just a coincidence?
I read that some people, including myself, are experiencing tightness in chest with mucous in the throat after they quit smoking over many weeks or longer?
I quit smoking a few days ago. I have been doing really well with the cravings but I feel so emotional. One minute I am happy, the next I want to cry. When I have tried to quit before I was just crabby. Are these mood swings normal? Any suggestions to help me beat the habit?
I have been smoking for 5 years and last week I just decided it was totally not worth it to buy any more. I havent smoked for a almost 2 weeks now and I have a sore throat and congestion. Should I be worried because I quit cold turkey?
Ok I quit around December.I want to know how long it takes for your body to go back to normal after you quit smoking? Because sometimes I get shortness of breath
