Quitting smoking may in fact be the hardest thing you’ve ever decided to do. However, there is hope. Many people have spent thousands of dollars on stop smoking aids that don’t work. Now you can stop smoking naturally.
I’m sure many of you have tried hypnosis, acupuncture, zyban and likely many other stop smoking aids. Many of you have probably rushed out to get every new stop smoking aid you’ve heard of. I’ve been there. So you’ve tried everything else, why not try herbs to help you stop smoking.
Herbs can help you stop smoking naturally. That’s right herbs, like the ones we commonly use for cooking, spicing up our food, making tea and other things that we already use herbs for. Some of them are common herbs, and some you may not have heard of before, but they can help you stop smoking.
One herb that is reported to extremely reduce nicotine addiction is Lobelia. However it contains a non-addictive, yet very toxic substance called lobeline. You should seek professional medical advice before using lobeline. It does have many of the same relaxing qualities found in nicotine. Let’s face it, nicotine itself is very toxic and causes severe health difficulties.
Avena Sativa which can be widely found in wild oat plants is used to treat insomnia, nervousness, and anxiety. Many researchers say it will also aid individuals to stop smoking.
This next herb is reported to help combat the damages caused by smoking. Particularly the reduced blood circulation and the reduced memory ability of smokers. It is called Gotu Kola, or Centella Asitica. It is known to increase both memory and blood circulation.
Another side effect of quitting smoking that many smokers, especially women smokers, detest. The ever dreaded weight gain. Check this out, this herb’s hydroxycitric acid content helps burn extra calories. That’s right you combat the weight gain, while at the same time controlling the natural desire to smoke. It is called Garcinia Cambogia.
A few other herbs that have been said to help people stop smoking are Goldenseal, oak, willow, and Korean Ginseng. Korean Ginseng probably isn’t that unfamiliar of a name to you, and it’s natural stress relieving properties make it an excellent ally. Another one that will knock your socks off, is catnip. Yes I said catnip, we’ll probably see smokers around the world fighting their cats for the catnip, but hey if it works, why not!!
An important type of herb to include in your attempt to quit smoking is one to get rid of the toxins in the blood. Burdock root and Red clover are excellent examples of herbs that are known to have this quality.
