I don’t believe that resorting to negative behavior/ thinking patterns (like breaking his cigarettes or yelling at him for smoking) is going to have a long-term positive effect! I believe that if you just share with him your concerns about the harmful effects smoking has on his mind & body, this approach would be more beneficial.
Please also remember that smoking is a powerful addiction that is hard to quit. Most people that have a smoking addiction are not able to quit overnight. They usually have to cut back a little bit at a time. Understand that your dad may not know a plan (nor a desire) to quit smoking. NOTHING you do can MAKE your dad quit… he has to come to the decision on his own.
I encourage you to just keep letting him know you love him & don’t want any harmful unhealthy habits to shorten his potential abilities here in this life!

same with my dad i couldnt make him stop but made him cut down lotttts.
first when he’s not looking take his cigarettes and break them in half and put them where he’ll never see them again.. or flush them.
then if your watching tv in the same room and you have the remote take it and see if theres a show about the bad things about smoking.. or put a movie in find one with the worse possible effects of smoking to a point where your both gaging.
thats how i did itt
but he may be mad at first about the missing smokes but he’ll eventually see what your trying to do.
soo good luckkk:]]

tell him you worry about him and his health and that you woulndt want anything to happen to him. it may be hard but he will not be mad at you or anything. Also try leaving anti-smoking pamphlets around the house and in his car. hope this helps!

kill him, or just ask him nicely that what he’s doing it’s harmful for either one of you, and it’s very very stupid behavior.
